About Us
We love every kid that puts on the ORANGE & BLACK and we will give them 110% day in day out.

The 1848 Dawgs were established out of Fulton, Ohio in 2018 who are a non-profit organization created to provide a competitive athletic environment through the use of baseball during the course of the summer. The 1848 Dawgs pride themselves on being prime examples of what it means to be a young man in today‘s community on and off the field. Our primary focus as a Dawg is to take the fundamental aspect of the game and break it down for each young man so that they can understand the game on a much deeper level and know how to apply the skills and assets we use during games to their everyday lives.

All of our teams will consist of 12-15 players who will compete in 6-8 tournaments over the course of their respective travel seasons. We have age groups located all over the Central Ohio Area based on where their players and coaches are based. During the season, each team compete in 1-2 midweek games to help them prepare for the upcoming tournament schedules. Every team has the choice to compete wherever they would like during their season. Most teams will compete in 5 local/Ohio tournaments and 2-3 out of state trips. All teams will have practice at least once a week to help the players make adjustments, continue growth, and give them the chance to develop their skill set. All fees are up to each coach depending on the age group but the fees will run between $500-800. The fees cover 2 full sets of uniforms, team equipment, umpire fees tournament fees, and coaches fees.

During the off-season our teams will practice at remote indoor locations like our 15U & 18U teams practice at DBAT Columbus North in Lewis Center, OH on Saturdays at 7pm till 9pm starting Mid-November. Our 11U-14U & 16U teams practice indoors @ facilities located based on their players hometowns. When it becomes nice outside our teams will practices and play their home games at fields and parks located neutral to a majority of their team. Our HS aged teams will play a majority of their games at Lincoln Park in Marion, OH or surrounding HS Stadiums in the Central Ohio Area.

We have made our decision and stepped over the line. We will not look back, let up or back off. We no longer need applause, fanfare, love from social media, the press or pats on the back. Our companions are few because the road we have chosen is narrow and rough. We will not be deterred, distracted, or delayed. We will not flinch in the heat of battle, hesitate in the presence of pressure or turn our backs on our Teammates. We will not give up, back up or let up until our mission is complete. We will Be Champions. By having a confident, aggressive edge with great intensity, we will overachieve and overcome the fact that in any other setting and by all measures we are ordinary, but together as one we are extraordinary. We know these are our best tools. These are the things we can and will control. We will respect our opponent, but we will never worry or concern ourselves with what he is going to do. We can, however, promise that our opponent will have great concern for what we are going to do to them. We are the Hunters, not the Hunted. WE WILL BE CHAMPIONS!!
